Kara Turnbull PA-C joined Doctor Post at Mountaineer Orthopedic Specialists upon completion of the Physician Assistant Studies program at Lock Haven University.  She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of West Virginia University where she was a member of the women's gymnastics team.  She always knew she wanted to work with an orthopedic surgery practice where the focus was on sports medicine because of her extensive background in athletics.  Understanding the desire to return to play despite sports-related injuries has been a compelling factor in her physician assistant training.  Kara will work closely with Doctor Post to ensure that their patients are back running, playing tennis or doing what makes them happy.                                 

Kara is a native West Virginian from Ravenswood, WV where her parents still live.   She has two brothers who also reside in WV.  She remains involved with WVU Athletics and continues to stay active in sporting activities.  Kara is enthused about her commitment to the practice and is looking forward to further enhancing the productivity of Mountaineer Orthopedic Specialists.
