Doctor Post previously served as the residency education director, medical director and Vice Chairman of the Orthopedic Department at WVU.  He is also a past president of the West Virginia Orthopedic Society.  He currently belongs to the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the International Patellofemoral Study Group and the Christian Medical and Dental Association.

Doctor Post sees and treats a wide variety of sports and activity related problems as well as general orthopedic conditions.  His practice includes a great deal of arthroscopy, knee ligament reconstruction and shoulder surgery including arthroscopic repairs for rotator cuff and labral tears.  Arthroscopic repairs for recurrent dislocations and total shoulder replacement are also done regularly.  In the field of academic sports medicine, Doctor Post has diverse interests that have led to peer-reviewed published research in areas including patellofemoral disorders, shoulder arthroscopy, plantar fasciitis, ACL reconstruction and meniscal repair.  He has also authored 10 textbook chapters and numerous review articles.  He has been an invited speaker at many national and international meetings.  Despite these academic interests and accomplishments, he is first and foremost a dedicated and professional clinician who is committed to outstanding and personalized patient care.  Doctor Post has been selected by his peers as one of "The Best Doctors in America".

Beginning in July of 2001, Doctor Post formed a new private practice in Morgantown, Mountaineer Orthopedic Specialists, LLC and continues to provide state of the art tertiary level orthopedic care in a private practice environment.  The Fall of 2006 marked a new chapter in his private practice with the move into a new state of the art office in the Cheat Lake area of Morgantown to serve his patients more efficiently.
